FUN LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

About Me

Our mission is to develop young, active, confident athletes imparting them relevant skills and knowledge and encouraging growth holistically in mind, body and spirit.

28° Aquatic is founded by former national water polo player Ng Ker Wei and provides coaching in swimming and water polo from leisure to competitive levels to all kids from 2 years old and above. With the active support of CCAB, SSA, SWP & Mr Tom Hoad (Melville Water Polo Club Australia), 28° is able to play its part in upholding the spirit of water polo in Singapore by forming an independant Flippa Ball Club (introduction to water polo) in 2007.

Through the rapid growth in Flippa Ball, 28° Aquatic developed water polo programmes focusing on kids development. 28° Aquatic specialise in kid's development programmes from age 2 to 18 years old. Our programmes are designed to enhance both the skills and performance of young players and at the same time, provide a fun safe environment to learn and play. Our training be swimming or water polo is comprehensive and complete in nature. It includes theory, practical and sportsmanship.

Coaches at 28° Aquatic possess good knowledge and drive for the sport, and are experienced in building fantastic rapport with all its players, parents and wider community. 28° Aquatic is proud of its glowing reputation in grooming young water polo players in Singapore, and looks forward to building long lasting relationships with schools and clubs within the water polo community of Singapore.

WATER POLO

THE MOST INTENSE GAME IN THE WORLD BUT YOU ARE ONLY WATCHING HALF OF IT

Getting into Water Polo in Singapore
Getting into water polo is easy. Children can be introduced to the game during swimming lessons. Register for a free assessment now if your child is ready for the game.

Kids’ Swimming Lessons
Children can be introduced to water polo in their swimming lessons. Our Learn to Swim Programme has water polo specific modules in Levels 8 – 10, known as the Aquatics Skills Framework.
These three steps on the Programme involve learning the basics of the sport from movement, shooting and passing to more complex skills and technique. Ask your child’s swimming teacher about it at the next lesson.
The Aquatics Skills Framework also involves playing Mini-polo – a beginner’s version of water polo with a smaller ball.
The rules of Mini-polo are more relaxed – players can stand up for example – so you can play in shallow water and just use floats or cones as goalposts.

LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAMME

START YOUR SWIMMING JOURNEY WITH US NOW.

Our Learn to Swim Framework is about developing confident and competent swimmers through fun and enjoyment, and Learn to Swim Stages 1-7 are at the heart of our Learn to Swim Programme.

It is the most widely known part of swimming lessons for children and is the backbone of swimming lessons for primary school aged children.

Each of the seven stages of the Learn to Swim Framework has a clear set of targets for the pupil to meet so they can get to the next stage.

This part of the Programme not only teaches a child to swim using the four strokes. It also gives them a number of other skills, which when put together, give children the ability to do a range of other water-based sports.

The Learn to Swim Framework gives children confidence in their ability to swim. From this comes more enjoyment of swimming, a love for swimming and being in the water and the skills and motivation required to lead a healthy and active lifestyle through regular swimming through to their adult life.
